I hooked up the power supply and the lite lit up but nothing happened when I placed the hall sensor near the magnet. After close inspection, the three leads from the transistor were never soldered to the board. Just the heat sink was holding it on. After I soldered the transistor to the board everything worked fine. The rotor was a little out of balance though and it would vibrate like crazy until balanced. Fast motor.
The magnet on the shaft ar the free end was wandering on the shaft do to an adhesion problem. Once repositioned and reglued things were fine. Other than that nice fast motor.
