A Challenge But Worthwhile
Building this kit was certainly challenging and tooks hours more than claimed, however it was worthwhile. A minimum of four hands are necessary for much of the required assembly. A pair of surgeons self-locking long nosed clamps/pliers were invaluable to hold the tiny nuts. I commend the creator as it is a mad project with many more pieces than really necessary for sheer effect. The instructions were almost perfect with few errors and nothing was missing. However a few straight photographs from all around would have been useful, as well as the angled views. On the negative side, any handling of the finished model results in rapid unscheduled disassembly as the nuts and bolts undo themselves. It might be an idea to use light Loctite on the nuts during building. I have built a stand and plan to leave it alone. You need to have high levels of dexterity and patience to complete this. A more realistic version (!) without the steam punk elements might be more appealing to naturalists. Operating the lights at the back of the head is not mentioned in the instructions.
